Stoupa

Stoupa is a beautifull seaside village situated 45 km from the city of Kalamata, with many hotels and restaurants and two amazing beaches, the beach of Stoupa and the famous beach of Kalogria.

The beach of Kalogria, just before Stoupa, is one of the most famous beaches of Messinia. The beach is organized, composed of fine golden sand and is full of sun loungers and umbrellas from the adjoining beach bars.  Stoupa Beach is right in front of Stoupa's main street. With golden fine sand and turquoise waters, it hosts thousands of visitors every summer.

Just above the beach there are dozens of cafes and restaurants as well as shops with memorabilia, on a life-bustling road everyday

Stoupa is built at the foot of Mount Taygetos, in an area formerly known as "Potamos" because of the Drakos or Drakolagados River which during the winter season ends at Stoupa beach.

Stoupa is ideally placed for exploring many places of classical and historic interest nearby such as Ancient Olympia, Mystras, Monemvasia, Mount Ithomi and of course the Diros caves and the wild Mani Peninsula where you can find the gorge of Rintomo.
